With the best of the best of the country’s high school girls in the race, the Foot Locker Cross-Country Championships promised to be packed with fireworks. Jordan Hasay of Arroyo Grande, CA made the race explosive right from the start, but Ashley Brasavan of Wellington, FL charged all the way to the finish, winning in a time of 17:07. Kroeger finished 2nd, Hasay hung on for third. All three are juniors so they will surely be back for the 2008 race. Neely Spence of Shippensburg, PA – and daughter of running legend Steve Spence – finished 4th.
